Bertuzzi Food Processing Srl, on the occasion of Cibus Tec 2023, presents a significant innovation in product traceability. This innovation, developed in collaboration with QRSI Srl, a company specialized in generating and managing unique QR codes for physical objects, will enable food and common-use product processors to offer complete product traceability linked to each individual item to anyone in need.

At the fair, the new system will be connected to two machines: an aseptic drum filler dedicated to B2B producers and a vacuum capper for glass jars for B2C applications.

The advantages for B2B processors are the certainty of having a unique connection to a 5.0 label with an anti-counterfeiting code that contains the exchange of certified data, allowing the produced labels to exchange data over the network. For B2C processors, in addition to the above-mentioned features, it will be possible to provide information to the end customer to guarantee the origin and traceability of the product, thus becoming a formidable product and territorial marketing tool.

Also crucial is the impact of this innovation in terms of sustainability. Unique QR codes, in fact, being readable by any device anywhere in the world, allow both the operator and the end customer to know, thanks to geolocation, how to properly dispose of the package, thus becoming excellent support in terms of ESG compliance.
