HEAT RECOVERY SKID

Clauger-Technofrigo proposes a HEAT RECOVERY SKID, an innovative way to recover and reuse waste heat from industrial processes.

Apart from energy recovery from cooling systems, Clauger also designs heat recovery skids adapted to customer requirements using the most advanced heat exchanger technology.

The principle behind this system involves capturing energy from the hot process emissions. We recover and exploit this 'free' energy which would otherwise be wasted and lost to then heat water at high temperatures for various purposes.

Advantages of this innovation include:

-Reduces energy costs by recycling heat produced by the process, acting as a shock absorber for fluctuations in energy prices.

-Eliminates all or part of the use of fossil fuels (gas, diesel) at the industrial site.

Concretely, a customer with an energy cost of 30€ per MWh of natural gas saved around 32,000€ annually with this solution. The same customer experienced an increase of energy costs to 120€ per MWh of natural gas. This resulted in an annual savings of 120,000€ or 405 CO2 eq tons using Clauger’s solution, or the equivalent of 158 round trip flights from Paris to New York!

The energy recovery Skid work in by-pass mode ensuring the production is not interrupted while facilitating maintenance and wash-down phases. The equipment is constructed in 100% stainless steel, using all recyclable materials. Clauger’s Skid is also certified ISO 50001.
